Historic Milestone in Prehospital Care Education in Mexico

DIPA University Center Makes International IPR Certification a Mandatory Academic Requirement.

Guadalajara, Jalisco — In a groundbreaking move for emergency medical education in Mexico, Centro Universitario DIPA A.C. has officially integrated the International Paramedic Registry (IPR) certification as a mandatory requirement for students completing their studies in prehospital care.

With this initiative, DIPA graduates will not only earn a nationally recognized diploma but will also obtain an international certification that validates their clinical and operational competencies according to the highest global standards. This bold step sets a new benchmark in the training of EMTs and paramedics in Mexico, making DIPA the first institution in the country to adopt such a rigorous academic and professional standard.

“This isn’t just about training—it’s about certifying professionals based on internationally recognized standards. We’re raising the bar for what it means to be a prehospital care provider in our country,” stated the university’s Academic Directorate.

By implementing this requirement, DIPA strengthens its reputation as a national and international leader in emergency services education. It also gives its graduates a strong competitive edge in the job market—opening doors both in Mexico and abroad.
